Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Cercles et triangles by Sophie Taeuber-Arp was sold in the Art Impressionniste et Moderne auction at Christies in Paris in November 2012. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 18,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 18,750.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sophie Taeuber-Arp achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Composition dans un cercle blanc sur fond noir in February 2019 with an auction result of GBP 187,500.00 (€ 218,725.28).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Cercles et triangles von Sophie Taeuber-Arp wurde im November 2012 in der Auktion Art Impressionniste et Moderne bei Christies in Paris versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 18.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 18.750,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sophie Taeuber-Arp erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Composition dans un cercle blanc sur fond noir im Februar 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 187.500,00 (€ 218.725,28).
