Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Unknown by William Charles Ross was auctioned at Christies in London in December 2003. The price achieved of GBP 293.75 (€ 416.06) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 250.00 – 350.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Charles Ross achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Victoria, Princess Royal (1840-1901) As A Child, Holding The Long Blue Silk Ribbons Of Her Hat, In White Dress, Black Coat, Wearing A Blue-Lined Straw Hat Adorned With Black And Blue Ribbons On Her Curly Fair Hair; Landscape Background in November 2013 with an auction result of GBP 18,750.00 (€ 22,563.12).
Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Victoria, Princess Royal (1840-1901) As A Child, Holding The Long Blue Silk Ribbons Of Her Hat, In White Dress, Black Coat, Wearing A Blue-Lined Straw Hat Adorned With Black And Blue Ribbons On Her Curly Fair Hair; Landscape Background im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 18.750,00 (€ 22.563,12).
