Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work A double portrait of a woman and child (illustrated); Portrait of a female nude, half-length, her right arm outstretched; and Portrait of a woman, bust-length, facing right by William Charles Ross was auctioned at Christies in London in March 2011. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 900.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,000.00 (€ 1,131.50). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Charles Ross achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Victoria, Princess Royal (1840-1901) As A Child, Holding The Long Blue Silk Ribbons Of Her Hat, In White Dress, Black Coat, Wearing A Blue-Lined Straw Hat Adorned With Black And Blue Ribbons On Her Curly Fair Hair; Landscape Background in November 2013 with an auction result of GBP 18,750.00 (€ 22,563.12).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit A double portrait of a woman and child (illustrated); Portrait of a female nude, half-length, her right arm outstretched; and Portrait of a woman, bust-length, facing right von William Charles Ross kam im März 2011 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Victoria, Princess Royal (1840-1901) As A Child, Holding The Long Blue Silk Ribbons Of Her Hat, In White Dress, Black Coat, Wearing A Blue-Lined Straw Hat Adorned With Black And Blue Ribbons On Her Curly Fair Hair; Landscape Background im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 18.750,00 (€ 22.563,12).
