This artwork by Winston Churchill achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in November 2018. In the Modern & Post-War British Art auction, the work On The Rhine sold for GBP 200,000.00 (€ 225,593.92) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 100,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Winston Churchill achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tower Of The Koutoubia Mosque in March 2021 with an auction result of GBP 8,285,000.00 (€ 9,732,740.78).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Winston Churchill erzielte im November 2018 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern & Post-War British Art wurde die Arbeit On The Rhine für GBP 200.000,00 (€ 225.593,92) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 100.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Winston Churchill erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tower Of The Koutoubia Mosque im März 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 8.285.000,00 (€ 9.732.740,78).
