Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Winston Churchill achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in June 2018. In the Modern & Post-War British Art Evening Sale auction, the work Mimizan sold for GBP 430,000.00 (€ 485,973.28) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 180,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Winston Churchill achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tower Of The Koutoubia Mosque in March 2021 with an auction result of GBP 8,285,000.00 (€ 9,732,740.78).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Winston Churchill erzielte im Juni 2018 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern & Post-War British Art Evening Sale wurde die Arbeit Mimizan für GBP 430.000,00 (€ 485.973,28) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 180.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Winston Churchill erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tower Of The Koutoubia Mosque im März 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 8.285.000,00 (€ 9.732.740,78).
