Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Bar In The Hall-By-The-Sea, Margate by William Orpen was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2020. The price achieved of GBP 88,200.00 (€ 98,460.96) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 70,000.00 – 100,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Orpen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of Lady Idina Wallace in November 2013 with an auction result of GBP 962,500.00 (€ 1,158,239.93).

Die Arbeit The Bar In The Hall-By-The-Sea, Margate von William Orpen kam im November 2020 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 88.200,00 (€ 98.460,96) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 70.000,00 – 100.000,00 angegeben worden.
