Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Study of an Art School model, probably Emily Scobel 28.5 x 21.8 cm. (11 1/4 x 8 1/2 in.) (sheet); 23.8 x 21 cm. (9 3/8 x 8 1/4 in.) (image) by William Orpen was sold in the The Irish SaleVision & Voice auction at Bonhams in Dublin in November this year. The price achieved of EUR 3,840.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Orpen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of Lady Idina Wallace in November 2013 with an auction result of GBP 962,500.00 (€ 1,158,239.93).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Study of an Art School model, probably Emily Scobel 28.5 x 21.8 cm. (11 1/4 x 8 1/2 in.) (sheet); 23.8 x 21 cm. (9 3/8 x 8 1/4 in.)
