Auction result well in line with expectations
In November this year Bonhams in Dublin held the auction The Irish SaleVision & Voice, which included the work Jack Dempsey (where is that rotten fish?) 26.9 x 21.2 cm. (10 1/2 x 8 3/8 in.) by William Orpen. The price achieved of EUR 1,792.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Orpen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of Lady Idina Wallace in November 2013 with an auction result of GBP 962,500.00 (€ 1,158,239.93).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Dublin die Auktion The Irish SaleVision & Voice durch, in der auch die Arbeit Jack Dempsey (where is that rotten fish?) 26.9 x 21.2 cm. (10 1/2 x 8 3/8 in.) von William Orpen zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 1.792,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Orpen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait Of Lady Idina Wallace im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 962.500,00 (€ 1.158.239,93).
