The price achieved of GBP 962,500.00 (€ 1,158,239.93) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800,000.00 – 1,200,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Portrait Of Lady Idina Wallace is the most expensive artwork by William Orpen that we have observed at auctions so far.
