Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Winner (The Champ) 76 x 53.8 cm. (29 7/8 x 21 1/8 in.) by William Orpen was sold in the The Irish SaleVision & Voice auction at Bonhams in Dublin in November this year. It changed hands for a price of EUR 19,200.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Orpen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of Lady Idina Wallace in November 2013 with an auction result of GBP 962,500.00 (€ 1,158,239.93).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Winner (The Champ) 76 x 53.8 cm.
