Auction result misses estimated price range
In November this year a collector was able to acquire the work Yours with love to the last drop 19.5 x 15.5 cm. (7 7/8 x 6 in.) by William Orpen for EUR 1,408.00. This price was achieved in the auction The Irish SaleVision & Voice at Bonhams in Dublin and was even below the estimate range of EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Orpen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of Lady Idina Wallace in November 2013 with an auction result of GBP 962,500.00 (€ 1,158,239.93).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Yours with love to the last drop 19.5 x 15.5 cm. (7 7/8 x 6 in.) von William Orpen für EUR 1.408,00 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The Irish SaleVision & Voice bei Bonhams in Dublin erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Orpen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait Of Lady Idina Wallace im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 962.500,00 (€ 1.158.239,93).
