The work Self-Portrait with Ginger Ale | Autoportrait avec Ginger Ale by William Orpen was auctioned at Sothebys in Paris in May last year. It achieved a price of EUR 6,300.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 26 %. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Orpen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of Lady Idina Wallace in November 2013 with an auction result of GBP 962,500.00 (€ 1,158,239.93).

Die Arbeit Self-Portrait with Ginger Ale | Autoportrait avec Ginger Ale von William Orpen kam im Mai letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in Paris zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 6.300,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 26 %. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Orpen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait Of Lady Idina Wallace im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 962.500,00 (€ 1.158.239,93).
