In October 2011 Christies in London held the auction Modern and Contemporary Australian Art with Works by 20th Century African Artists, which included the work A Country Road by Hans Heysen. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 13,750.00 (€ 15,913.01), 38% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Hans Heysen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Morning Mist in March 2005 with an auction result of AUD 203,150.00 (€ 124,374.35).

Im Oktober 2011 führte Christies in London die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Australian Art with Works by 20th Century African Artists durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Country Road von Hans Heysen zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 13.750,00 (€ 15.913,01) und damit 38% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hans Heysen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Morning Mist im März 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 203.150,00 (€ 124.374,35).
