Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2018 Christies in London held the auction Topographical Pictures with Australian Art, which included the work White river gums - summer. Ambleside, South Australia by Hans Heysen. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 12,500.00 (€ 13,926.11) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Hans Heysen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Morning Mist in March 2005 with an auction result of AUD 203,150.00 (€ 124,374.35).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2018 führte Christies in London die Auktion Topographical Pictures with Australian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit White river gums - summer. Ambleside, South Australia von Hans Heysen zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 12.500,00 (€ 13.926,11) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hans Heysen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Morning Mist im März 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 203.150,00 (€ 124.374,35).
