Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2021 Bonhams in Sydney held the auction Important Australian Art, which included the work The Edge of the Clearing, 1915 by Hans Heysen. The price achieved of AUD 36,900.00 (€ 32,692.48) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hans Heysen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Morning Mist, which sold at auction in March 2005 for AUD 203,150.00 (€ 124,374.35).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2021 führte Bonhams in Sydney die Auktion Important Australian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Edge of the Clearing, 1915 von Hans Heysen zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 36.900,00 (€ 32.692,48) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Hans Heysen mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Morning Mist beobachtet, die im März 2005 für AUD 203.150,00 (€ 124.374,35) versteigert wurde.
