This artwork by Charles D'Oyly achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in London in September 2021. In the Travel & Exploration auction, the work 'Crossing Horses Over The River Gandack' Unframed sold for GBP 1,657.50 (€ 1,928.52) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles D'Oyly achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pushkar, India, with a parade of figures, elephants and horses in the foreground in October 2011 with an auction result of GBP 22,500.00 (€ 26,039.47).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Charles D'Oyly erzielte im September 2021 bei Bonhams in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Travel & Exploration wurde die Arbeit 'Crossing Horses Over The River Gandack' Unframed für GBP 1.657,50 (€ 1.928,52) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 600,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Charles D'Oyly erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pushkar, India, with a parade of figures, elephants and horses in the foreground im Oktober 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 22.500,00 (€ 26.039,47).
