The »bidding war« ended at GBP 2,115.00 (€ 3,539.04), 41% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Charles D'Oyly have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Pushkar, India, with a parade of figures, elephants and horses in the foreground in October 2011 with an auction result of GBP 22,500.00 (€ 26,039.47).

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 2.115,00 (€ 3.539,04) und damit 41% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Charles D'Oyly auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Pushkar, India, with a parade of figures, elephants and horses in the foreground im Oktober 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 22.500,00 (€ 26.039,47).
