This artwork by Simon Palmer achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Los Angeles in July this year. In the Modern British and Irish Art auction, the work Anniversary Meeting sold for GBP 3,584.00 (€ 4,181.44) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Simon Palmer have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Harvesting Snow in March 2017 with an auction result of GBP 21,250.00 (€ 24,902.90).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 79 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Simon Palmer erzielte im Juli diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art wurde die Arbeit Anniversary Meeting für GBP 3.584,00 (€ 4.181,44) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 2.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Simon Palmer auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Harvesting Snow im März 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 21.250,00 (€ 24.902,90).
