In December 2020 Bonhams in London held the auction Modern British and Irish Art, which included the work Junction at High Newstead and Hammer Farm by Simon Palmer. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 7,012.50 (€ 7,833.59), 40% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Simon Palmer - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Harvesting Snow, which sold at auction in March 2017 for GBP 21,250.00 (€ 24,902.90).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 40 % übertroffen
Im Dezember 2020 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern British and Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Junction at High Newstead and Hammer Farm von Simon Palmer zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 7.012,50 (€ 7.833,59) und damit 40% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Simon Palmer mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Harvesting Snow beobachtet, die im März 2017 für GBP 21.250,00 (€ 24.902,90) versteigert wurde.
