Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In September 2020 Bonhams in London held the auction Modern British and Irish Art, which included the work The School Gate by Simon Palmer. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,657.50 (€ 1,827.66). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Simon Palmer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Harvesting Snow in March 2017 with an auction result of GBP 21,250.00 (€ 24,902.90).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im September 2020 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern British and Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The School Gate von Simon Palmer zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.657,50 (€ 1.827,66) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Simon Palmer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Harvesting Snow im März 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 21.250,00 (€ 24.902,90).
