Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Simen Johan achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in November 2009. In the Photographs auction, the work Untitled #133 (Moose) from Until the Kingdom Comes sold for USD 40,000.00 (€ 26,677.34) - well above the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Simen Johan; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Untitled #153, from Until the Kingdom Comes, 2008 sold at auction in October 2015 with the realized price of USD 37,500.00 (€ 33,961.24).
