Auction result well in line with expectations
In August 2017 Christies in New York held the auction Living with Art, which included the work Untitled #140, from Until the Kingdom Comes, 2007 by Simen Johan. The price achieved of USD 12,500.00 (€ 10,523.66) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Simen Johan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled #153, from Until the Kingdom Comes, 2008, which sold at auction in October 2015 for USD 37,500.00 (€ 33,961.24).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im August 2017 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Living with Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled #140, from Until the Kingdom Comes, 2007 von Simen Johan zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 12.500,00 (€ 10.523,66) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Simen Johan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled #153, from Until the Kingdom Comes, 2008 beobachtet, die im Oktober 2015 für USD 37.500,00 (€ 33.961,24) versteigert wurde.
