Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2002 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings, which included the work Murese Regius by Sierk Schröder. The price achieved of EUR 501.90 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 400.00 – 600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sierk Schröder achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A lady in a blue kimono in November 2003 with an auction result of EUR 8,962.50.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2002 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Murese Regius von Sierk Schröder zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 501,90 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sierk Schröder erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A lady in a blue kimono im November 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 8.962,50.
