In September 2009 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Nineteen to Now, art from the 19th, 20th & 21st centuries, including Topographical Observations, African and Indonesian Pictures, which included the work Reclining nude by Sierk Schröder. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 1,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 1,625.00. Admittedly, works by Sierk Schröder have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A lady in a blue kimono in November 2003 with an auction result of EUR 8,962.50.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im September 2009 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Nineteen to Now, art from the 19th, 20th & 21st centuries, including Topographical Observations, African and Indonesian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Reclining nude von Sierk Schröder zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 1.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 1.625,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sierk Schröder auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A lady in a blue kimono im November 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 8.962,50.
