Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
This work without title by Shyamal Dutta Ray was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Indian Art auction at Christies in New York in September 2006. Here, the upper estimate of USD 12,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 13,200.00 (€ 10,404.35). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Shyamal Dutta Ray - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in September 2008 for USD 35,000.00 (€ 24,856.19).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Shyamal Dutta Ray wurde im September 2006 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Indian Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 12.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 13.200,00 (€ 10.404,35) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Shyamal Dutta Ray mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im September 2008 für USD 35.000,00 (€ 24.856,19) versteigert wurde.
