It achieved a price of USD 18,750.00 (€ 13,186.58), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 56%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Shyamal Dutta Ray; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot without title sold at auction in September 2008 with the realized price of USD 35,000.00 (€ 24,856.19).
