Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2014 a collector was able to acquire the work Dust by Shirazeh Houshiary for USD 18,750.00 (€ 13,609.64). This price was achieved in the auction First Open at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Shirazeh Houshiary have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Door in October 2012 with an auction result of USD 158,500.00 (€ 122,318.26).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2014 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Dust von Shirazeh Houshiary für USD 18.750,00 (€ 13.609,64) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion First Open bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Shirazeh Houshiary auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Door im Oktober 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 158.500,00 (€ 122.318,26).
