Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2007 Christies in New York held the auction South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art, which included this untitled work by Shibu Natesan. The price achieved of USD 12,500.00 (€ 8,791.05) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Shibu Natesan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Stand Alone in September 2006 with an auction result of USD 198,000.00 (€ 156,065.26).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2007 führte Christies in New York die Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Shibu Natesan zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 12.500,00 (€ 8.791,05) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Shibu Natesan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Stand Alone im September 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 198.000,00 (€ 156.065,26).
