This artwork by Shi Guoliang achieved an unexpectedly high price at POLY in Hong Kong in April 2016. In the Inkprovise - Modern & Contemporary Ink Art auction, the work Mother And Son sold for HKD 177,000.00 (€ 19,941.70) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 90,000.00. Admittedly, works by Shi Guoliang have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Life In Countryside in April 2013 with an auction result of HKD 1,035,000.00 (€ 101,314.93).

In der Auktion Inkprovise - Modern & Contemporary Ink Art wurde die Arbeit Mother And Son für HKD 177.000,00 (€ 19.941,70) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 90.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Shi Guoliang auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Life In Countryside im April 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.035.000,00 (€ 101.314,93).
