A top price for Shi Guoliang
This artwork by Shi Guoliang achieved an unexpectedly high price at POLY in Hong Kong in April 2013. In the Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Life In Countryside sold for HKD 1,035,000.00 (€ 101,314.93) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 380,000.00. This high result makes Life In Countryside the most expensive artwork by Shi Guoliang that we have observed at auctions so far.
