This artwork by Shi Guoliang achieved an unexpectedly high price at POLY in August last year. In the Chinese Contemporary Ink Paintings - Contemporary Chinese Classical Paintings & Contemporary Chinese New Paintings auction, the work Fairy Tale sold for HKD 554,600.00 (€ 70,199.74) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 220,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Shi Guoliang; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Life In Countryside sold at auction in April 2013 with the realized price of HKD 1,035,000.00 (€ 101,314.93).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Shi Guoliang erzielte im August letzten Jahres bei POLY einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Chinese Contemporary Ink Paintings - Contemporary Chinese Classical Paintings & Contemporary Chinese New Paintings wurde die Arbeit Fairy Tale für HKD 554.600,00 (€ 70.199,74) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 220.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Shi Guoliang; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Life In Countryside im April 2013 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 1.035.000,00 (€ 101.314,93).
