The work Boating across the River by Shen Zhou was worth HKD 6,125,000.00 (€ 710,386.60) to a buyer in November 2019. This price was achieved in the auction Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy at Christies in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 400,000.00 many times over. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Shen Zhou - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Calligraphy And Landscape Of 'Zhang Gong' Karst Cave, which sold at auction in November 2016 for HKD 23,150,000.00 (€ 2,820,982.23).

Die Arbeit Boating across the River von Shen Zhou war einem Käufer im November 2019 HKD 6.125.000,00 (€ 710.386,60) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy bei Christies in Hong Kong erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 400.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Für andere Arbeiten von Shen Zhou mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Calligraphy And Landscape Of 'Zhang Gong' Karst Cave beobachtet, die im November 2016 für HKD 23.150.000,00 (€ 2.820.982,23) versteigert wurde.
