Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Poems On Falling Flowers In Running Script by Shen Zhou was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2019. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 1,800,000.00 – 2,200,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 1,875,000.00 (€ 214,309.73) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Shen Zhou achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy And Landscape Of 'Zhang Gong' Karst Cave in November 2016 with an auction result of HKD 23,150,000.00 (€ 2,820,982.23).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Poems On Falling Flowers In Running Script von Shen Zhou kam im Oktober 2019 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 1.800.000,00 – 2.200.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 1.875.000,00 (€ 214.309,73) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Shen Zhou erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy And Landscape Of 'Zhang Gong' Karst Cave im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 23.150.000,00 (€ 2.820.982,23).
