Auction result misses estimated price range
In December last year a collector was able to acquire the work Secluded Landscapes by Shen Zhou for HKD 1,008,000.00 (€ 120,794.17). This price was achieved in the auction Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy at Christies in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 1,200,000.00 – 2,000,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Shen Zhou achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy And Landscape Of 'Zhang Gong' Karst Cave in November 2016 with an auction result of HKD 23,150,000.00 (€ 2,820,982.23).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Secluded Landscapes von Shen Zhou für HKD 1.008.000,00 (€ 120.794,17) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy bei Christies in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 1.200.000,00 – 2.000.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Shen Zhou erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy And Landscape Of 'Zhang Gong' Karst Cave im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 23.150.000,00 (€ 2.820.982,23).
