Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Flowers and Bird by Shen Zhou was sold in the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction at Christies in Hong Kong in December this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 600,000.00 – 800,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 630,000.00 (€ 72,898.21) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Shen Zhou achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy And Landscape Of 'Zhang Gong' Karst Cave in November 2016 with an auction result of HKD 23,150,000.00 (€ 2,820,982.23).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Flowers and Bird von Shen Zhou wurde im Dezember diesen Jahres in der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 600.000,00 – 800.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 630.000,00 (€ 72.898,21) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Shen Zhou erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy And Landscape Of 'Zhang Gong' Karst Cave im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 23.150.000,00 (€ 2.820.982,23).
