Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Landscape in Snow by Shen Zhou was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in December this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 300,000.00 – 500,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 327,600.00 (€ 37,907.07) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Shen Zhou achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy And Landscape Of 'Zhang Gong' Karst Cave in November 2016 with an auction result of HKD 23,150,000.00 (€ 2,820,982.23).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Landscape in Snow von Shen Zhou kam im Dezember diesen Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 300.000,00 – 500.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 327.600,00 (€ 37.907,07) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Shen Zhou erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy And Landscape Of 'Zhang Gong' Karst Cave im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 23.150.000,00 (€ 2.820.982,23).
