In November 2019 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Landscapes Dedicated to Zhu Xingfu by Shen Zhou. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 13,325,000.00 (€ 1,545,453.31), 67% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Shen Zhou; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Calligraphy And Landscape Of 'Zhang Gong' Karst Cave sold at auction in November 2016 with the realized price of HKD 23,150,000.00 (€ 2,820,982.23).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 67 % übertroffen
Im November 2019 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Landscapes Dedicated to Zhu Xingfu von Shen Zhou zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 13.325.000,00 (€ 1.545.453,31) und damit 67% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Shen Zhou; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Calligraphy And Landscape Of 'Zhang Gong' Karst Cave im November 2016 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 23.150.000,00 (€ 2.820.982,23).
