This artwork by Shen Zhongqiang achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Sydney in August this year. In the Asian Art including Paintings from the Wong Family Collection auction, the work Pine sold for AUD 2,214.00 (€ 1,321.17) - well above the upper estimate of AUD 1,200.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Shen Zhongqiang - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Autumn Chrysanthemums, which sold at auction in April 2019 for HKD 37,500.00 (€ 4,268.59).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 85 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Shen Zhongqiang erzielte im August diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Sydney einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Asian Art including Paintings from the Wong Family Collection wurde die Arbeit Pine für AUD 2.214,00 (€ 1.321,17) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von AUD 1.200,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Shen Zhongqiang mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Autumn Chrysanthemums beobachtet, die im April 2019 für HKD 37.500,00 (€ 4.268,59) versteigert wurde.
