Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Chrysanthemums, 1958 by Shen Zhongqiang was auctioned at Bonhams in Paris in June this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,024.00 (€ 937.73) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Shen Zhongqiang have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Autumn Chrysanthemums in April 2019 with an auction result of HKD 37,500.00 (€ 4,268.59).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Chrysanthemums, 1958 von Shen Zhongqiang kam im Juni diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Paris zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 1.024,00 (€ 937,73) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Shen Zhongqiang auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Autumn Chrysanthemums im April 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 37.500,00 (€ 4.268,59).
