The work Chrysanthemum by Shen Zhongqiang was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2006. The result of HKD 12,000.00 (€ 1,205.33) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Shen Zhongqiang - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Autumn Chrysanthemums, which sold at auction in April 2019 for HKD 37,500.00 (€ 4,268.59).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Chrysanthemum von Shen Zhongqiang kam im Mai 2006 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 12.000,00 (€ 1.205,33) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Shen Zhongqiang mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Autumn Chrysanthemums beobachtet, die im April 2019 für HKD 37.500,00 (€ 4.268,59) versteigert wurde.
