Auction result well in line with expectations

It changed hands for a price of HKD 9,440.00 (€ 1,077.92) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 5,000.00 – 10,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Shen Zhongqiang - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Autumn Chrysanthemums, which sold at auction in April 2019 for HKD 37,500.00 (€ 4,268.59).

Die Arbeit Chrysanthemum And Birdss von Shen Zhongqiang kam im Mai 2017 bei POLY in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 9.440,00 (€ 1.077,92) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 5.000,00 – 10.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Shen Zhongqiang mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Autumn Chrysanthemums beobachtet, die im April 2019 für HKD 37.500,00 (€ 4.268,59) versteigert wurde.
