Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Landscape by Shen Shichong was sold in the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2021. The price achieved of HKD 352,800.00 (€ 37,772.77) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 300,000.00 – 500,000.00. Admittedly, works by Shen Shichong have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sailing through the Verdant Coast in November 2010 with an auction result of HKD 3,260,000.00 (€ 322,098.80).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Landscape von Shen Shichong wurde im April 2021 in der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 352.800,00 (€ 37.772,77) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 300.000,00 – 500.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Shen Shichong auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sailing through the Verdant Coast im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.260.000,00 (€ 322.098,80).
