This price was achieved in the auction Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy at Christies in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 600,000.00 many times over. This high result makes Sailing through the Verdant Coast the most expensive artwork by Shen Shichong that we have observed at auctions so far.
