This artwork by Shen Shichong achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2016. In the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings & Calligraphy auction, the work Snowy Mountain sold for HKD 275,000.00 (€ 31,784.91) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 150,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Shen Shichong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sailing through the Verdant Coast in November 2010 with an auction result of HKD 3,260,000.00 (€ 322,098.80).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 83 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Shen Shichong erzielte im Mai 2016 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings & Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Snowy Mountain für HKD 275.000,00 (€ 31.784,91) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 150.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Shen Shichong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sailing through the Verdant Coast im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.260.000,00 (€ 322.098,80).
