Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Shen Shichong achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in May 2016. In the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings auction, the work Autumn Streams sold for HKD 1,750,000.00 (€ 202,267.62) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 700,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Shen Shichong; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Sailing through the Verdant Coast sold at auction in November 2010 with the realized price of HKD 3,260,000.00 (€ 322,098.80).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Shen Shichong erzielte im Mai 2016 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit Autumn Streams für HKD 1.750.000,00 (€ 202.267,62) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 700.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Shen Shichong; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Sailing through the Verdant Coast im November 2010 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 3.260.000,00 (€ 322.098,80).
