Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Sergei Bratkov could be acquired at Phillips in London in June 2008 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work #8 (from the Sailors series) changed hands for GBP 2,500.00 (€ 3,160.08) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sergei Bratkov - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work '+' & '-' (from the series Militain Relay Race), which sold at auction in April 2008 for GBP 8,750.00 (€ 11,155.01).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Sergei Bratkov konnte im Juni 2008 bei Phillips in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Sale wechselte die Arbeit #8 (from the Sailors series) für GBP 2.500,00 (€ 3.160,08) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Sergei Bratkov mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit '+' & '-' (from the series Militain Relay Race) beobachtet, die im April 2008 für GBP 8.750,00 (€ 11.155,01) versteigert wurde.
