Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Teddy by Sergei Bratkov was sold in the Russian Pictures auction at Sothebys in London in June 2015. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,125.00 (€ 2,996.22) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sergei Bratkov - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work '+' & '-' (from the series Militain Relay Race), which sold at auction in April 2008 for GBP 8,750.00 (€ 11,155.01).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Teddy von Sergei Bratkov wurde im Juni 2015 in der Auktion Russian Pictures bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.125,00 (€ 2.996,22) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Sergei Bratkov mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit '+' & '-' (from the series Militain Relay Race) beobachtet, die im April 2008 für GBP 8.750,00 (€ 11.155,01) versteigert wurde.
