Auction result well in line with expectations
The work 1980 (Rings) by Sarah Morris was sold in the Evening & Day Editions auction at Phillips in London in September this year. The price achieved of GBP 1,016.00 (€ 1,016.00) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sarah Morris achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work "Paradigm (Los Angeles)" in May 2019 with an auction result of EUR 126,438.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit 1980 (Rings) von Sarah Morris wurde im September diesen Jahres in der Auktion Evening & Day Editions bei Phillips in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.016,00 (€ 1.016,00) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sarah Morris erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit "Paradigm (Los Angeles)" im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 126.438,00.
