Auction result well in line with expectations
In October this year Christies in Brussels held the auction First Open: Post-War and Contemporary Art Online, which included the work War of Roses (Sound Graph) by Sarah Morris. The price achieved of GBP 25,200.00 (€ 28,936.60) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Sarah Morris have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work "Paradigm (Los Angeles)" in May 2019 with an auction result of EUR 126,438.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober diesen Jahres führte Christies in Brüssel die Auktion First Open: Post-War and Contemporary Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit War of Roses (Sound Graph) von Sarah Morris zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 25.200,00 (€ 28.936,60) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sarah Morris auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit "Paradigm (Los Angeles)" im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 126.438,00.
