Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Red Veils by Sarah Charlesworth was sold in the Post War & Contemporary Art auction at Christies in London in December 2007. The price achieved of GBP 2,500.00 (€ 3,397.08) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Sarah Charlesworth have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Seated Buddha (from 0 + 1) in September 2021 with an auction result of USD 25,200.00 (€ 21,767.30).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Red Veils von Sarah Charlesworth wurde im Dezember 2007 in der Auktion Post War & Contemporary Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.500,00 (€ 3.397,08) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sarah Charlesworth auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Seated Buddha (from 0 + 1) im September 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 25.200,00 (€ 21.767,30).
